FAQs

+ I can't sign in to my GoFan Scanner app. How do I log in?

  • You must use your ‘validator credentials’ to log in to the GoFan Scanner app.
  • If you do not have your credentials, email support@gofan.co to request your school's username and password.

+ I scan a ticket but nothing happens.

  • STEP ONE: Force close the GoFan Scanner app and re-open.
    • Scanner sometimes gets 'caught' or the QR codes were added after you pulled up the event.
  • STEP TWO: Open your (Honeywell sled) by pinching the grooves on the top of either side and pulling up and out.
    • Slide the iPod up and back down to re-establish the connection.
  • STEP THREE: Reboot the scanner by turning off the sled and iPod by holding down the top grey button and turning back on.
  • ALWAYS.
    • Make sure your scanner is connected to WiFi. Check/connect by going to the Settings > WiFi.
    • Verify your iOS has the latest installation by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

+ My event isn't showing on the GoFan Scanner app. What do I do?

  • Events will show up to a week in advance.
  • To have an event setup, send event details to support@gofan.co
    • Date, Time, Opponent, Ticket Price.
    • One you receive notice your event is uploaded, close out of the GoFan Scanner app and go back in to refresh the app.

+ When I hold the buttons on the side to scan, the red laser doesn't show.

  • Make sure your scanner is connected to WiFi. Check/connect by going to the Settings > WiFi.
  • Your iPod could be separated from your Honeywell sled.
    • Slide the iPod out by pinching the hinge at the top of the Honeywell sled on either side.
    • Pull up and out. Slide the iPod up and back down to secure the connection.
  • Verify your iOS has the latest installation by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

+ When is there a delay when I scan a ticket and receive a green check mark?

  • The delay is due to a slowed WiFi connection.

+ Why aren't my school's pass cards scanning?

  • Your event has not been added to your pass in our system OR your event is on GoFan but not associated with your pass card.
    • Call 678-679-7677 or email support@gofan.co.
    • Be prepared with the event that's not scanning and the type of pass card.
